The King and His Son
Book 1 - The Beginnings
The Great King's Marvellous Event
“Long ago, before this world existed; much further back in time before the planets and stars framed the galaxies of outer space; even before the existence of the entire universe - lived a great King.
Now this King was no ordinary king. Oh no, much more, the great King was a Divine Spirit being possessing supernatural powers.
For you see, the ancient King was and still is the one and only true God, the origin of true life.
For the Lord is the great God,
And the great King above all gods. Psalm 95:3
...for there is one God, and there is no other but He. Mark 12:32
…The Lord is the true God;
He is the living God and the everlasting King. Jeremiah 10:10
...who gives life to all things..1 Timothy 6:13
...as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness... 2 Peter 1:3
For with You is the fountain of life. Psalm 36:9
He Who is the blessed and only Potentate, the Kings of kings and Lord of lords… 1 Timothy 6:15
Beyond our human understanding, the great King has always existed in life - without a beginning. Indeed He does not have a beginning like you have through human conception. The great King is self-existent, immortal.
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life... Hebrews 7:3 KJV
Behold, God is great, and we do not know Him;
Nor can the number of His years be discovered. Job 36:26
Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. Psalm 90: 2
…the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity... Isaiah 57:15
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise,
be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17
Who is God?
Welcome aboard, sit back and relax as we blast off on an incredible journey, exploring the knowledge and dimensions of God. Travelling back through time we pass over generations of human life. Six thousand years unwind ...6 ...5 ...4 ...3 ...2 ...1.. to earth's beginnings, "...without form, and void..." Genesis 1:2.
From this lifeless, lonely place, we rocket through outer space and universal times. Navigating our way through teeming galaxies, we watch spectacular planets, brimming with life, simply unwind and disappear before our eyes.
Back, back we journey, through ever-depleting cycles. Until at last the entire universe with all creation, unravels to nothing.
Now we are alone. All is still, quiet, and dark. Suddenly, a glorious light dispels the darkness, and we find ourselves in the very presence of God Almighty, the origin of all life; the one and only true God, ever present before space and time.
Struck with awe, we ask ourselves, "Who is this magnificent God, who is large enough to fill the universe with His mighty power, and yet is small enough to enter our meagre lives?"
To answer these questions, let us extend our human eyesight and view God's grandeur, rising through the mists of eternity.
" 'The secret things belong to the Lord our God,
but those things which are revealed belong to us
and to our children forever,
that we may do all the words of this law.'"
"For since the beginning of the world
Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear,
Nor has the eye seen any God besides You,
Who acts for the one who waits for Him." Isaiah 64:4
Have you read the Vital Force book called, "Who is God?"
If you have, then hopefully you have a true understanding of God the Father and His only begotten Son. With wonder, we have seen how Their divine relationship permeates all creation.
And in Their spiritual relationship there is no end. For in the divine life of God's Son, we are about to glimpse another wonder spiralling throughout the universe.
For you see, the Son was not born merely to fulfil the Father's need for companionship, the Father also intended His Son to be a gift of divine communication to all created life, even to you and I today.
Thus from the beginning, as the Father's representative and ambassador in the universe, the Son was ...the Word of life. 1 John 1:1
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." John 1:1-2
"...His name is called The Word of God." Revelation 19:13
And so as the ages of time unfolded with new created life, the Son of God conveyed the Father's love, knowledge, and purposes to intelligent beings of unfallen worlds, "...upholding all things by the word of His power..." Hebrews 1:3
Then arriving in the beginnings of Planet Earth, in His new role as Mediator, the Son became the vital Communicator between fallen humanity and God the Father. Thus the Father's and Son's communications of saving grace are recorded in our world's book of all books, the Holy Bible, for our benefit.
Breathed through their divine spirit, the Bible communicates God's word of salvation to human life. For the spiritual life of the Bible is the Spirit of the living Word - the Son of God.
Through His Spirit of life, God gave words of hope, promise, love, vital instructions and often warnings to the prophets and writers of Old Testament times over some 4000 years.
"Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow." 1 Peter 1:10-11
Then at the appointed time, the Word, the Son of God, descended to Planet Earth and conceived in Mary's womb by God’s Holy Spirit in ways we cannot understand, the Son’s newborn life was the beginning of New Testament times.
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14
