<<back to The Seventh Day

That long ago, before the creation of Planet Earth and Adam and Eve, Lucifer was the leading angel of the angelic host serving in God’s heavenly government. But with time Lucifer aspired to rise to God’s level of life and become one with the Father and Son. This could never become reality for Lucifer is merely a created being, and God the Father and Son are the Divine Creators. Lucifer’s dark thoughts escalated into open rebellion against God’s authority. Deceived by Lucifer's scheming lies, a third of the heavenly angels joined him in his evil quest to overthrow God’s rule. War broke out in heaven. But triumphing over the enemy, God cast Lucifer and his army out of heaven. Mutating into the dark force, Lucifer became Satan and the devil while his cohorts of fallen angels became demon spirits.

“...You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.

“You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

“By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.

“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you." Ezekiel 28:12-17

" How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit." Isaiah 14:12-15

Revelation 12: 7-8, 1 Peter 5: 8, Revelation 12: 9, Matthew 12: 24, Matthew 10: 1, John 8: 44, Jude 6.

That on Planet Earth in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve faced a test of love and loyalty toward God and His commandments of life. Satan bewitched a flying serpent and then in his serpent guise he hid among the branches of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  One day Eve walked by and appearing amongst the branches Satan beguiled Eve, tempting her to eat of the forbidden fruit of good and evil. Alas, Eve ate of the deadly fruit, and soon Adam followed. Adam's and Eve's act of disobedience broke God’s law bringing sin and death into our world, and opened the way for Satan and his demon spirits to enter Planet Earth with full force.

“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”" Genesis 3:1-5

" Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—" Romans 5:12

"'Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.'" Revelation 12:12

"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. And the LORD said to Satan, 'From where do you come?' So Satan answered the LORD and said, 'From going to and fro on the earth and from walking back and forth on it.'" Job 1:6-7

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8
