 <<back to 1st Resurrection

That at His second coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ brings a desolate end to our sinful world.

“prepare for last days... knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.’ For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

“ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?”  2 Peter 3:3-12

 “The earth mourns and fades away,
The world languishes and fades away;
The haughty people of the earth languish.
 The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants,
Because they have transgressed the laws,
Changed the ordinance,
Broken the everlasting covenant.
 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth,
And those who dwell in it are desolate.
Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,
And few men are left.”   Isaiah 24:4-6

 Isaiah 2: 19, Matthew 24: 23 – 44,   Luke 17: 23-30, Revelation 1: 7, Revelation 11: 15-18, Revelation 6: 12-17.

That after the Son’s second coming Satan is bound to desolate earth, chained like a prisoner. There is no human life left on earth for Satan to tempt with evil.  Meanwhile, those living saints who were caught up to heaven at Jesus Christ's second coming, reign with Christ a thousand years. During the thousand years they investigate with a tribunal judgement, the lives of evil angels and the lives of all people who rejected God’s salvation.

“I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form, and void;
And the heavens, they had no light.
 I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled,
And all the hills moved back and forth.
 I beheld, and indeed there was no man,
And all the birds of the heavens had fled.”  Jeremiah 4:23-25

“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.”  Revelation 20:1-3

“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years ... they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

“Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?”  1 Corinthians 6:2-3   Read more>>
