That in earth’s first era, the world population became so evil that God sent a great flood upon the face of the earth destroying those who had rejected God. Yet Noah and his family, with a cargo of creatures, were saved on board a massive ship called an ark.  Eight people saved out of an estimated several billion. After the flood, on the broken and barren earth, God permitted humans to eat animal flesh for the first time as a dietary supplement. But later, to his Hebrew people, God stipulated that only meat of clean animals should be eaten

"Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.’ But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." Genesis 6:5-8

"‘This is the law of the animals and the birds and every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth, to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.’ ” Leviticus 11:46-47

Genesis chapters 6-9,  Genesis 9: 1-4, Leviticus chapter 11.

That God chose Abraham to become the patriarchal father of the Hebrew nation. Abraham paid tithes and offering to God’s high priest, Melchizedek. Tithe represented a tenth of Abraham's income that duly belonged to God. Today, to sustain His ministry upon earth, believers in God return tithe and offerings to Him, and thus receive His promised blessing into their lives.

“Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: ‘Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.’ And he gave him a tithe of all." Genesis 14:18-20

"And Jesus answered and said to them, 'Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.' And they marvelled at Him." Mark 12:17

“’Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, “In what way have we robbed You” In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this’ Says the Lord of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.’" Malachi 3:8-10

"'Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.'" Luke 6:38  Read more>>
