Evolution

 <<back to Bible

  • The bible of evolution, inspired by the theories of finite man?
  • The Bible of creation inspired by God’s infinite Spirit in true knowledge of life?

The theory of evolution claims the origin of life on Planet Earth began millions of years ago spawned from a single microorganism.

It seems to me that evolutionists say that this spawning mutated, giving birth to the cycle of evolution and over millions of years numerous species evolved, plant life, insects, animals, birds, fish, and even human life.

The Collins dictionary says this:

evolutionist n. 1. A person who believes in a theory of evolutions, esp. Darwin’s theory of the evolution of plant and animal species. ~ adj. 2. Of or relating to a theory of evolution.

evolution n. 1. Biology. A gradual change in the characteristics of a population of animals or plants over successive generations: accounts for the origin of existing species from ancestors unlike them. See also natural selection.

natural selection n.  A process resulting in the survival of those individuals from a population of animals or plants that are best adapted to the prevailing environmental conditions. The survivors tend to produce more offspring than those less well adapted, so that the composition of the population is changed.

Now contesting the theory of evolution is the biblical record of God’s creation: Planet Earth; all creature life; sea life; and not least human life. And all this earthly life, created within  a period of six working days with a rest day on the seventh making a literal seven day  week – the week we live by today.

"Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day." Genesis 1:31

"Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." Genesis 2:1-3

And with the miracle of God’s creation, each life form on Planet Earth received the DNA of their species.  Receiving this blueprint of life, born of God’s creative power, each species reproduced and multiplied on the earth.

Today as we study the intricacies of each species, all life forms of animals, trees, plants, fish, birds, down to the tiniest insect, and of course the complex human body, we soon realise all this variety of life must have been conceived by a master mind. Indeed the loving master mind of an infinite God, the origin of universal life.

Now in contrast to God’s creation week, if we were to accept the theory of evolution, we would have to believe, with the first spawning of life millions of years ago; the birthing microorganism carried the DNA of all future life on Planet Earth. All species of life contained within a single spawning awaiting their birth canal through evolutionary release.

One thing is clear; the theory of evolution makes void a personal relationship with God, leaving us without hope or future beyond the grave, only a death trail of evolutionary spawning. Think about it, is our God a mere microorganism of evolution lost in the evolutionary cycles spanning millions of years?

And so perhaps we should ask another question. Read more>>
