The heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament  (margin =expanse of heaven) shows His handiwork (margin = the work of His hands).

Day unto day utters speech,

And night unto night reveals knowledge.

There is no speech or language

Where their voice is not heard.

Their line (margin = sound) has gone out through all the earth,

And their words to the end of the world.

In them He has set a tabernacle (margin = tent) for the sun.

Psalm 19:1-4

Father in heaven, we praise and worship You as the Creator of the heavens. How marvellous are Your works. You not only count the stars but give them all names. By Your great power You have assigned a specific place for each star and keep it there.

But an even greater wonder to us is that You call each of us by name and have a specific place and purpose for us. We belong to You twice over. You not only created us but You have redeemed us (bought us back from our sinful state to a right standing  with You) by the precious blood of Your only begotten Son Jesus.

Thank You for healing our broken hearts, wounds and sorrows. Thank You for Your written word which has creative power to supply all our needs. Be it unto us according to Your word.

We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen

His understanding is infinite.

Psalm 147:3-5

Lift up your eyes on high,

And see who created these things,

Who brings them out by number;

He calls them by name,

By the greatness of His might

And the strength of His power;

Not one is missing.

Isaiah 40:26

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made,

And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

Let all the earth fear the LORD;

Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it was done;

He commanded, and it stood fast.

Psalm 33:6, 8, 9

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,

And he who formed you. O Israel:

“Fear not for I have redeemed You;

I have called you by your name;

You are mine.”
