Gratitude

Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,

And for His wonderful works to the children of men.

Psalm 107:8. These same words are repeated in verses 15, 21, 31

Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all His benefits:

Who forgives all your iniquities,

Who heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from destruction,

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed as the eagle’s.

Psalm 103:2-5

Father in heaven, we praise and worship You today for Your abundant mercy, grace and love. So often we come to You asking for things, forgetting to thank You for all that You have given us, pouring Your blessings out on us every day. Thank You for Your word and Your faithfulness to bring Your promises to pass.

Thank You that You forgive all our iniquities. Thank You that You heal all of our diseases.

Thank You that You not only supply all our needs but many of our wants too. You crown us with loving kindnesses and tender mercies. Thank You that You don’t give up on us when we take Your blessings for granted and we complain and whine and distrust You so quickly.

Thank You for sending Your only begotten Son to deliver us from our destructions and to restore our relationship with You.Thank You that Jesus Himself is our qualification for receiving all our blessings.

Thank You that all these mercies endure forever.

We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen
