God Rejoices Over You

The LORD your God in your midst,

The Mighty One, will save;

He will rejoice over you with gladness,

He will quiet you with His love,

He will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

Father in heaven, we praise and worship You for Your mercy, grace and lovingkindness.

When we feel unappreciated by others or the old derogatory voices and self-doubt play over in our minds remind us that YOU rejoice over us, delight in us and take pleasure in us. Our value to You is not measured by our abilities and achievements, our weaknesses and failures, but by the infinite price Jesus, Your only begotten Son, paid for us.

What a wonder that even when we fall You delight in our way. You do not reveal our weaknesses to belittle and condemn us but to show us our need for Jesus and to put our hope in Your mercy. We rejoice in all that Jesus is to us and for us. In His name we pray. Amen

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Let them praise His name with the dance;

Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;

He will beautify the humble with salvation.

Psalm 149:2-4

Let them shout for joy and be glad,

Who favour my righteous cause;

And let them say continually,

“Let the LORD be magnified,

Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

For the LORD upholds him with His hand.

Psalm 37:23-24

The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,

And all kings your glory.

You shall be called by a new name,

Which the mouth of the LORD will name.

You shall also be a crown of glory

In the hand of the LORD,

And a royal diadem

In the hand of your God.

You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,

Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;

But you shall be called Hephzibah (margin =Lit. My Delight is in Her), and your land Beulah (margin = Lit. married);

For the LORD delights in you,

And your land shall be married.

For as a young man marries a virgin,

So shall your sons marry you;

And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,

So shall your God rejoice over you.

Isaiah 62:2-5
