A Prayer During COVID-19 Outbreak

Give ear to my words, O LORD,

Consider my meditation (margin says Lit. groaning)

Give heed to the voice of my cry,

My King and my God,

For to You I will pray.

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD;

In the morning I will direct it to You,

And I will look up.

Psalm 5:1-3

Father in heaven, we live in fearful days. COVID-19 is on everybody’s lips. Overwhelming worry, anxiety, panic and stress abounds throughout the whole earth. Yet we direct our prayers to You and look up.

We make our preparations for lockdown, we take precautions, but we trust You for deliverance, protection, wisdom and provision.

When we are afraid, we will trust in You. We cling to Your promise that You are with us. In our dismay we remember that You are OUR God. Thank You for strengthening us in mind, body and spirit. Thank You for helping us in whatever way we need help. Thank You that You are always upholding us in Jesus.

We ask please that Jesus will live out HIS peace in us today. In His name we pray. Amen
