FOOTPRINTS OF SATAN’S DECEPTION

Did you notice Satan’s deceptive ploy?

First, casting doubt upon God’s word of truth and His divine authority:  “…Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden…”’ Genesis 3:1

Furthermore Satan deceitfully states that death is merely an illusion bearing no substance of reality: “You will not surely die...” (Genesis 3:4) There will be no consequences in partaking of the fruit of good and evil but you will attain to greater wisdom and more abundant life without end.

Then exalting himself over and above God, with beguiling blasphemy, Satan blatantly calls God a liar, a cheat and a deceiver, denying the earthlings the ultimate experience of participating in both the knowledge of good and evil.

“For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened…” Genesis 3:5

And did you catch Satan’s sinister surmising, that God participates in the knowledge of both good and evil, selfishly keeping the ultimate experience to Himself.

“’…and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil…Genesis 3:5 (KJV)

While in the same breath, Satan springs upon Eve his masterful overwhelming deception: That by participating in good and evil she can rise in her humanity to the level of God and even become a human god in her own right.

Sounds like Satan’s old boastful line, the one he declared of himself when in heaven.

“’…I will be like the Most High…’” Isaiah 14:14
