Remember God's Faithfulness

This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
Through the LORD’S mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is your faithfulness.
‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul,
Therefore I have hope.
Lamentations 3:21-24

Father in heaven, we worship You as the faithful God. Your compassions never fail. Every morning You refresh us with new mercies and benefits. In every life season, in every family, local or global emergency and disaster You remain faithful. We may be caught out by things that happen, but You never are.  You are already there in our tomorrows.

There are times when we look at our circumstances and our resources – our finances, energy, time, wisdom, and abilities – and our resources fall short of our need. Then we start to worry. We forget how You have guided, provided, and protected in the past. Yet You do not give up on us. When we doubt and are faithless You remain faithful.

How grateful we are that when we confess our sins You are faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Thank You for Your Son who faithfully works in us to change our unholy characters into Your image.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
