DECEIT AMONG THE BRANCHES Hidden among the branches, in the possessed body of a flying serpent, Satan gloats as he muses upon his plan to lie and cheat the innocent earthlings into losing all. If and when the innocent earthlings come near the deathly tree he shall have the prospect of ensnaring his victims with the temptation of evil. And if one or both of these earthlings falls to temptation then he, Satan, would succeed and sever their relationship with God! And so ultimately the deathly tree in the midst of the garden becomes the testing ground for Adam and Eve’s love and loyalty to their creator God. Remember, God had explained to Adam and Eve that to be perfectly happy in Eden’s paradise and retain everlasting life, they needed to keep within the love boundaries God had shown them, we might also call those love boundaries God's commandments. 14Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city... Revelation 22:14 (NKJV) But on the other hand, at the place of the deathly tree, God clearly instructs Adam and Eve not to enter upon evil’s enchanted ground; for should they choose to partake of the tempting fruit and participate in the knowledge of evil also, they shall surely die. For you see God’s divine nature, fruits holy goodness and nurtures everlasting life. But evil’s ungodly nature seeds the fruit of everlasting death. And so will Adam and Eve remain loyal to their creator God proving their love for Him beyond any temptation to participate in evil? Will they hold dominion over Planet Earth gifted from God? Or will they forfeit their earthly dominion to the dark side of evil? 27So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27–28 (NKJV)
